There are lots of satisfying twists and turns, with Littlejohn going down false paths only to return to the truth. It is always a pleasure to spend time with Inspector Littlejohn. The only one to hear his final words was a priest who was in attendance at the banquet and accompanied the stricken Ware on his final journey.
