Again, there's a Stephen King vibes in this book and I'm not sure whether its just me but there's a point in this book where it reminds me a little of King's Pet Sematary. Tie these Five people together tying them in multiple knots till they choke begging to break free of the past!! Joe Thorne, forty-years-old and running away from his gambling debts reluctantly moves back to Arnhill, his childhood home and the village that he left many years before. Is that a problem – not for me personally but I can't speak for others. The characters were interesting and all had a less than flowery past really. The guy he owes is getting impatient. Absolutely excellent from start to finish I devoured this book in a matter of hours. The Taking of Annie Thorne was one of my most anticipated books of 2019 and my expectations for it were sky high.
