Reading another site on the net it mentioned it had something to do with some silicone that could emit a gas that could seep into the brake lamp switch and cut off electrical contact. In hindsight I wish I would have played around and tried to adjust it before buying a new one. I am a pretty good shade tree mechanic but Know my limitations. There is now a recall on this part from Subaru. I googled "VDC, ABS, and Incline Assist lights WRX" or something similar and that was the general consensus. Thats when they pulled the abs sensor on a front wheel and it was green with corrosion.. after they fixed it zero problems a front sensor affects traction control is beyond me lol. Ok so on Sunday after I got home from the beach I ran into an issue where my traction control was randomly kicking on and couldn't go over 15 mph, so I re centered my steering wheel and it fixed my issue for a second.
