Recaps and posts should be all caught up hopefully by this weekend and upcoming week. S1 E16 - Episode 16. Drama, Comedy, Fantasy, Romance. All of us surely formed some questions in our minds that we either thought are too basic for them to include or we assumed that it will be answered as we finished watching. When Doctor Lee finally enters her office, she hands Yi-hyun his cup of coffee which was given to him by Grandma Ok-nam. She speaks with him after class and hands him the gift that she had embroidered for him. Ok-nam continues to share more information about immortals: they serve deities in nature and connect deities with the human world. I never knew if I was going to be bored or enthralled with each episode I watched. It is funny how Mama fairy is poor at sewing pictures on clothes and Jeom Soon's expressions when she sees them. She doesn't even question all the weird things she sees him doing and I felt like come on that would never fly in real life. This drama is about Hyun-Woo (Yong Joon-Hyung) a romantic webtoon writer without actually having any experience in love. Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter.

Mama Fairy And Woodcutter Kdrama
Meanwhile, Wizard Park, Teacher Gu, and Fairy Oh all arrive at the train station to head to Seoul. In this kind of story where we expect nothing less or more, the actors and actresses definitely portrayed their roles to its satisfaction. The ending is so disappointing their is no reunion just left open ended. Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter Episode 3 Reactions. Things are slowly unfolding for our characters, and maybe Ok-nam will eventually find her reincarnated husband who she's been waiting for the past 700 years. Touch Your Heart: This drama is about a lawyer and his secretary who is a former hallyu star who is in hiding after being in some tabloids but she really wants to get back into movies. Yoo Ah Reum (유아름) as Ahn Jung Min. Our trio arrives in what they assume is Seoul, but they quickly find it suspicious when they overhear some passerby's speak in a dialect. Right before Ok Nam left Seoul, she even kissed Yi Hyun on impulse – this wasn't a kiss of obligation, but one where she did in the moment.
This drama felt fresh and exciting and I did enjoy most of it and the ride you go on while watching it. He seems to be a guy that is often misunderstood and hasn't had to lean on anybody since he is self sufficient in every way. I thought it did a great job of portraying struggles that other people may have had a hard time putting to words of how they feel when every one arounds them is telling them they are crazy. They sometimes live in the fairy realm and sometimes in this realm with people. Felt sad for Geum when he likes Mama fairy but doesnt try to separate Mama fairy and Yi Hyun and suffers alone. I was really disappointed at times when they had a chance to relive their day and use it to change what happened and try a different option.
Mama Fairy And The Woodcutter Cast
She changes now, and when she hears this, Ok-nam thinks, "He is one of us. Jeom-soo has to punch Kim Geum in the face for him to finally stop. There doesn't seem to have all the usual drama tropes that you see in so many dramas. Hopefully something shakes up things soon and gets the plot moving, because I do enjoy the show, but there's not a lot actually happening. Liked how Jeom Soon is cute, simple-minded, straightforward and how she is always craving for meat haha. This drama feels so depressing and everything felt hopeless for all the characters. Liked how Jeom Soon's laptop and mouse can be kept into the scroll when Mama fairy and her daughter, Jeom Soon, travel. While that could be a valid complaint, I thought that was an entirely separate issue which had nothing to do with the logic of which male lead IN the story Ok Nam should have ended up with. The restaurant is empty when Geum returns, and to his horror, the owner has their phones and she hands him the bill for the evening. This drama is about Yoo Jin-Woo (Hyun-Bin) who is the CEO of a large and impressive investment company. It's actually good for it didn't worry me about some sudden turn of events; hence, it let me appreciate each of them and the art of its story in every episode. When two men, Jung Ji Hyun and Kim Geum, come into the café one day, Ok Nam is convinced that one of them is her reincarnated husband. Also it makes me sad that they don't show her in a healthy, romantic relationship because I think not showing this still makes it feel stigmatized that if you aren't skinny you can't get a boyfriend. I think that really was the best part of the drama when Jeom-Dol came out of his egg.
He's approached by a massive tiger, which watches over him as he dreams of a small girl sitting beside a grave. They make fun of her for saying she's a fairy and wonder if she has dementia, and Yi-hyun gets angry. At least there was not too many plot holes or something unfinished except maybe with the whole Jeom-Dol and his part and the ability to go through time or something!? I've also never seen Moon Chae Won like this before and thought she kinda nailed the character of Ok Nam, although I do think the fact that she had to stick to a wide-eyed, breathy look for a good part of the show was a bit of an overkill. Take that guy seriously HAHA) but didn't like how the intensity was then broken again and again, like when Master Gu fails miserably to shoot Yi Hyun. Writer: Dol Bae (webcomic), Yoo Kyung-Sun. She's already been waiting 699 days so far. I enjoyed Hyun Bin of course because he is a great actor and his character was so interesting. I also found it interesting that there is no love lines, it feels refreshing and at the back of my mind I wanted to start coupling the characters out of habit but I am glad that they didn't try to do that, because that was not what the drama is about! Yoon So Yi as Izy of Mizar. Romance is a Bonus Book: It is about a genius writer and an editor who meets a lying copywriter who gets a job working under him. When Jeom-soon gets home, she tells her mother that she ran into Geum on campus, and Ok-nam says that she's seeing a movie with him. So I guess I wanted to keep watching to see if the drama would be able to redeem themselves and I found that they did not. Being surrounded by students also reminds Ok-nam of the days when she used to be a student back in fairyland.
Mama Fairy And The Woodcutter Episode 3.0
She wishes for her husband to come to her in his own time, and she'll be right beside him. They touch on the idea of forgiveness, acceptance and self-love, and I thought in that area at least, the show did carry through. Another problem was the two different characters of Seul-Bi didn't seem to match well and they seemed like different people and didn't feel like they was a smooth continuation of the character between them. They belatedly realize that they left their phones at the restaurant, so Geum offers to go back and get them, leaving Yi-hyun to wait on a bench. As Yi-hyun attempts to make clear of his thoughts and feelings for Ok-nam, Ok-nam is already confident on how she feels towards Yi-hyun. Ok-nam makes plans to contact them via letter. The hypothesized mother, father, and child all seem to be close in age and it feels wrong when she changes to her old person form as fairy. Jung-min tells Geum that Kyung-shik drank his coffee as Kyung-shik suddenly finishes his report and collapses on his keyboard. Yi-hyun oversleeps the next morning, and he makes it to his classroom with seconds to spare. Liked how she is kind and simple-minded and is not bothered by others' nasty remarks at all. And becomes Yi Hyun's assistant. She isn't sure which one is her husband but decides to follow them back to Seoul to find out since both of them have no memories of their past selves.
Here, it was great fun for me to watch Yoon Hyun Min as a comical, occasionally over the top germaphobe professor. A woodcutter steals her clothes, and she is unable to return to heaven. It didn't always make sense to me why they did the things they way they did! RR: Gyeryongsunnyeojeon. There is some weird backstory with Jung Yi-Hun that felt kinda forced or didn't come across the best with what exactly happened with him and his past. Kyung-shik tells Geum that Yi-hyun is looking for him, and after Geum leaves, Kyung-shik grabs his tumbler of Black Water coffee and gulps it down. I really liked this drama and thought it built some great momentum and suspense. He drops his pen in surprise, but when he picks it up, Ok-nam is gone again. A talk about the potential of Manga/Anime to be mainstream Korean Drama/Movie favorites!
Mama Fairy And The Woodcutter Episode 1
The other problem I had was it felt like I needed more time with Kang Ji-Hun the detective, I feel like he had a background story that was never acknowledged or had time to flesh it out. I love that Yoon Hyun Min and Moon Chae Won are in completely different roles this time. You wouldn't have imagined the life of each characters, the root of everything, and ITS FINALE which are beyond simple but still fit the genre. Yi-hyun opens his eyes and sees the tiger, and he whispers, "Jeom-soon-ah…" The tiger gently licks his face, and he falls back to sleep. While she took the bath, a woodcutter took her winged fairy clothes and hid them.
I should probably stop being so greedy since they're our two main leads and will have many more scenes together, but I absolutely loved that ending scene. Geum is definitely involved somehow in everything that's happening, and his interaction with Jeom-soon in human form felt very fatherly to me. This is probably why the chemistry has to also be conveyed via contented smiles, which I guess is a lot harder to resonate with the crowd than kisses or hugs. Wanted to write a short review of less than 500 words for this drama but it ends up becoming quite long…. Dr. Lee seems unsettled, especially when she notices the camera he's wearing, which is still recording. Intrigued Jin-Woo hops on the next train to meet the creator in Granada Spain at an old hostel run by Jung Hee-Joo (Park Shin-Hye).
I think this must be the reason that Geum can understand animals, and why he's so fascinated by Ok-nam, and so easily accepting of her explanation that she's a fairy. She has a long time secret crush on Hyun-Woo. He has a vendetta against a certain Professor Park, who waits until everyone gets drunk then eats all the food and never pays, due to having a similar plan worked out with his team. If only he hadn't gone on that trip, none of this would have happened. To some extent, I think the story helped viewers in accepting this by leveraging on gender fluidity – where Fairy Yiji who was a female was re-born as a male. Fairy Oh had been in her class, and was a bit of a troublemaker, hiding contraband reading material in her schoolbooks. Soon, Yi-hyun is three sheets to the wind, drunkenly debating scientific theory with Professor Park while Geum sighs and wonders when they're going to leave. Sometimes, I also didn't like how the show tries to stay true to its nonsensical nature, and breaks intensity of moments which were so wonderfully built up.
