For the repairing of the Saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edification of the body of Christ, Their purpose is to prepare God's people to serve and to build up the body of Christ. Share your struggles with a trusted brother or sister who has made a covenant with his or her eyes to abstain from lust (Job 31:1)? So plan, think about those primary relationships in your life. They almost always make that assessment based on their perceived needs, rather than the needs of others. We easily fall into Samuel's temptation to judge the health of a church by its outward appearance. Building Up The Body Of Christ Verses
People join groups and clubs to engage with others who are like-minded or share common interests and hobbies. Sadly, in so many Churches, some of the saints have never engaged in using their gifts or and they have abdicated from doing so. We have seen that ministry is not something done only by church leaders, such as pastors. May God bless all of us! Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. For the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, Christ gave those gifts to prepare God's holy people for the work of serving. Some of their claims are so appealing and enticing that it is little wonder many are led to conclude they coincide with God's desire.
What does it mean to build up others in grace and how do we do it? They adjust the Christian faith based on the tide of popular opinion and set their sails in the direction of the cultural headwinds. I am reminded of one of my students in Ethiopia, where I taught several years ago. While affirming that those are two valuable ways for you to build the body of Christ through your work, I would like to suggest another form of workplace bodybuilding. It doesn't mean that we can't encourage or exhort or comfort one who we don't know. You may be so old that you have studied the Bible for decades and followed Jesus with Peter and the disciples. That is not a good reason to get a doctorate in Bible or theology, and it is not a good reason to teach Bible in a university or seminary. He took me out from following the occult. Build Up The Body Of Christian

The word translated, building up, in this verse is used throughout the New Testament to convey the progressive maturing of believers. So both with new people coming to our church or non-Christians that we meet we should be the type of person that is always trying to bring more people into our concentric circles. To equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, NET Bible. Bloom where you're planted. And as we repent of our sin and place our faith in Christ, we are united to Jesus. From chrio; Anointed One, i. Romans 12:5. so in Christ we who are many are one body, and each member belongs to one another. First read and study the lists and descriptions of the gifts of the Spirit in I Cor 12 and 14, Romans 12 and I Peter 4. We cannot let our assumptions answer those questions.
Build Up Body Of Christ
As we pick up in verse 13, we must recap the opening of the chapter because, in it, Paul is laying out his strategic plan for the church of Christ. Let me give two appeals, one to those not in membership of a local church and then specifically to those who are members of a local church. Stated plainly, the Body of Christ is the church (1 Corinthians 12:27). May the Lord be gracious to us, and may He show us clearly that the basis for forming the church is the Body of Christ. And so pastors equip the saints with the Word of God to build up one another with the Scriptures.
Humility is a radical way of life, particularly in our age when social media allows us to magnify ourselves to the whole world, or at least to anyone willing to read our blogs or follow our Twitter feeds or view our Instagram account. The kinds of people spoken of here are slightly different from those spoken of in Romans 12 and 1 Corinthians 12. It is together as well as individually that we serve the purposes of God. We who are many are one bread and one Body. For it would then run, "unto work of ministration with a view to perfecting of saints, unto building up of the body of Christ;" and so would plainly represent the two-fold operation of the ministry: first, its work in its various offices for the perfecting of individual souls; and next, its general direction to the building up of the whole body. And this includes listening to the word of God and the Holy Spirit as we consider what others are telling us. Then the body of Christ will be built up. What Does Build Up The Body Of Christ Mean
Building up other Christians involves all three of these functions of this word. And so, we are unified not because we agree on everything, but because we have been called into this family of God together, united by this common witness: Jesus is Lord. Being a part of a group is a normal part of human identity. They are for our good and the good of others and even beyond that they are for the glory of God. His death on the cross paid the penalty for our sins and has saved us. We either err in harshness as we speak the truth or become so doctrinally spineless that we fail to love others by telling the truth. First Corinthians 10:16-17 says, "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the fellowship of the blood of Christ? The importance of unity of the Spirit has already being emphasized; it is one of the traits evident when a person walks in a manner worthy of the calling to which they have been called. Bringing bone to its bone and sinew to its sinew, increasing the number of believers, and promoting the spiritual life of each; carrying on all their work as Christ's servants and with a definite eye to the promotion of the great work which he undertook when he came to seek and to save the lost.
And the different translations reflect that. We want to emphasize all the gifts of the Spirit listed in the New Testament because we believe that they are all for the church today and are for the sake of building up the church. And, unfortunately, the church does not seem to be a witness to love and to unity in the face of such division. Jesus Christ has five priorities for His Church. The Holy Spirit plays a major part in joining individuals to Christ through indwelling, baptism, and sealing. Relationships that result in us becoming more like our Savior. Last time we look specifically at how Christ has gifted teachers in the church to equip the saints with the Word for this building up ministry. Οἰκοδομὴν (oikodomēn).
Build Up The Body Of Christ Verse
As the Word of God is shared in love with one another, it creates an echo from one person to the next, helping each other grow. It says something about our humanity: we are more impressed with the appearance of strength than actual strength. But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. To be a Christian and not be a member of a local church is, at best, an unusual season for a Christian to be and, at worst, a sign of rebellious disobedience to our Lord. On the one hand, we testify that the Lord's body was broken for us. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs…. Philippians 3:17 (ESV) Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. When they think they smell heresy, their nose begins to twitch, their muscles ripple, and the light of battle enters their eye. Then be on the lookout for opportunities to serve others. But guess what, you still have a long way to go till you reach "the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. " And the work of building one another up to maturity never ends because we are to keep doing so until we all arrive to "mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. " Paul interlinks the two together. No one comes to the Father except through me. It is a discipline that requires patience and effort.
